Today’s Diet and Nutrition Magazine: Food Allergies

todaysdietandnutrition

The September/October issue of Today’s Diet & Nutrition magazine announced a new section titled “special needs”. This section will address the dietary challenges and needs of those with diabetes, cancer, food allergies and more.

The first “special needs” diet addressed in the magazine is food allergies. The article titled “Food Allergies: Hope From Down Under”, discusses the many challenges food allergy mom Suzanna Paxton and her family face. There are three allergy friendly recipes and a “Tips For Reading Food Labels” sidebar.

Though most of the information in the article is accurate, there is one item (regarding manufacturer labeling) that I emailed the editor about. Overall I am thrilled that Today’s Diet & Nutrition magazine is recognizing the challenging diets of those with food allergies.
